Fifty/R Trigger on XBox One Controller as Buttons
For playing Mario Kart 8 in cemu, I configured my Xbox 1 controller every bit the Gamepad and everything is working fine exept for the trigger buttons. Considering they are treated similar a joystick on the z axis, when I press both of them at the same time, neither is being recognized. For Mario Kart thats annoying in some situations. Is there a way to treat the triggers as normal buttons?

One matter you can practise is use right bumper left trigger or vice versa as a semi-workaround.
Until XInput is implemented information technology's the best option. Once upon a time XBOX one controllers had a respective axis for each trigger, just has gone back to a single axis (I think with the 10 Anniversary update). I never had issues, simply I guess enough people did for Microsoft to rejoin the triggers. : (

When I use my Xbox One Southward Controller connected with Bluetooth the triggers human action completely normal for me. haven't tried information technology with an older model controller yet.

Not for me. I have the same exact problem from OP with the Ane Southward Controller updated with the Xbox Accessories App.
